A MESSAGE REGARDING THE IAAC ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Dear Members

Following my message to you last financial year I am writing again, to remind you about the IAAC Annual General Meeting scheduled for 3:30PM on Saturday 23 July 2011 at the Cook Neighbourhood Centre, 41 Templeton St, Cook.

I should have written earlier than this but my attention has been directed towards the end of financial year audit, applying for grants from the ACT government, finding someone who is prepared to take on the role of Returning Officer and thinking about a function for Independence Day.

As a result of this delay we have missed some of the timelines for AGM related processes.  Essentially we are still working well within the spirit of the Constitution but with shorter periods of notice for nominations and closing dates.  This will enable us to proceed smoothly towards the scheduled AGM date with a more compressed timetable.

If you would like to know more about the technical detail or have any questions at all please do not hesitate to contact me via the IAAC website www.iaac.org.au.  A copy of the Constitution can also be found on the same website.

Unless I hear from anyone with questions or objections by close of business Monday 4 July, my intention early next week, is to write to you again advising you who the Returning Officer is, describing the process leading up to the AGM and again confirming arrangements for the AGM.

Regards

Darryl Alexander
