A 45-seater boat was hired by IAAC to provide well over four hours of cruising on the Lake Burley Griffin. The cruise was booked full to its capacity and another dozen odd friends were on the waitlist.

IAAC contributed to the cultural programme segment of the Diwali Mela, an annual event of the Indian Community at Glebe Park.
IndOz dances function was organised to raise funds for charity and donate the same to the Bosom Buddies, ACT. The Chief Guest for the function was Dr. Chris Bourke, MLA representing Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Ms Joy Burch. Other dignitaries included representatives from Multicultural Affairs office as well as High Commission of India.
Your own IAAC organised a “Springtime Cruising on the Lake” program on Sunday, 25 September between 11:00am to 2:00pm.
The 45-seater cruise was full to its capacity and started on time. The participants included a good mix of the IAAC family representing all age groups. There were some seniors/young at heart, young families and children.
What a wonderful celebration of the Indian Independence on Sunday, 28th August, 2001 by your own IAAC. The function was well attended by around 250 people who were left spell bound on the quality of performances.
