Springtime Cruising on the Lake and Floriade

Your own IAAC organised a  “Springtime Cruising on the Lake” program on Sunday, 25 September between 11:00am to 2:00pm.

The 45-seater cruise was full to its capacity and started on time. The participants included a good mix of the IAAC family representing all age groups.  There were some seniors/young at heart, young families and children.

At the start a DVD entitled “Remembering Shammi Kapoor”, thankfully provided by Dr. Bijoy Varma was played. The DVD contained interviewed life history of the famous Bollywood star Shammi Kapoor who passed away on 14 August, 2011. There were many hit songs picturised on Shammi Kapoor.

Then there were many cultural  activities including jokes, singing and Dancing.   Dr. Mohan Singh meticulously planned and executed the thrilling Antakshari session that came out much different.

Kamberra Winery provided plenty of Red and White wines on complementary basis. Thank you, Raman Bhardwaj for hosting the wines.

The sumptuous and delicious food catered for by Masala Hut Indian Restaurant was enjoyed by everyone.  The Entree’, the Curries, the Naans, Rice, Deserts and soft drinks were in plentiful. Thank you Masala Hut for providing such a delicious meal.

Overall, the participants enjoyed every minute of the 3 hour cruise to its full extent.
