IAAC Musical Evening

 

Time and date: Saturday, November 1, 7.30 pm

Venue: Cultural Hall, Vishnu Siva Mandir, Mawson ACT

 

Some of the participating artists are:
 
Mr Joseph Abhayanand (Brisbane) : Classical Hindustani vocal, ghazals, old hits

Mr Inder Nair (Sydney) : Ghazal and song 
Mr Arunesh Kumar (Sydney): Tabla
Mr Mohit Lal (Brisbane): Bhajans and old hits
Mrs Savita Bhatt (Canberra): Classical vocal and bhajans
Mrs Prathiba Nagabhushan (Canberra): Carnatic Violin

Tickets: IAAC members - FREE (for new and renewing members); Non-members - $5.00 
All proceeds will be donated to a charitable cause.

IAAC Diwali Mela 2008

The India Australia Association of Canberra is holding a Diwali celebration. Details follow -  

Canberra High School, Bindubi St, Macquarie

Saturday 25 October, 12.30 pm to 7.30 pm

Authentic and tasty North Indian and South Indian food will be available.

A number of activites are being organized including dance and music, henna painting, rangoli competition, antakshari and children's activities.

Lighting of lamps and sparklers will take place in the evening.

We most cordially invite all members of the Canberra community to join us in the celebrations. There is no entrance charge.

Indian Independence Day 2008

The IAAC organized a function to celebrate the Indian Independence Day on Saturday 16 August, 6.30 pm at the Theo Notaras Multicultural Centre, North Building, Civic Square , London Circuit, Canberra City .
